For this new edition, the Defense Innovation Forum took place in the Fashion & Design Hall in Paris. Several consortiums, mainly sponsored by industrial groups, had the chance to display their latest innovations. As part of the major inputs for Calyos, the need for cooling performance and reliability as well as a growing attention dedicated to energy savings for batterie electric vehicles (principally unmanned) or modular camps. Innovations related to vision application also involve highly challenging thermal requirements due to high heat densities and component temperature requirements.

Oct 18 – Calyos participated in final meeting for delivering H2020 project’s outcomes Last week, Calyos attended Join’EM final meeting in Brussels to present project’s outcomes to H2020 expert committee. Originally, the purpose was to investigate the assembly of aluminum and copper in order to improve performance and reduce costs of electrical as well as heating and cooling applications in different industrial sectors, including machine and equipment construction (for example for the food industry), automotive and transport (trucks, buses, trains, etc.), white goods, air-conditioning and high-power electronics.   The consortium was composed of 14 organizations among which Calyos was providing the advanced cooling technology, its proprietary Loop Heat Pipe. As part of the project's deliverables for CALYOS, JOIN'EM has: developed a partial prototype for Loop Heat Pipe cylindrical evaporator, developed a full prototype for a Loop Heat Pipe flat condenser. More detailed information will shortly be available on http://www.join-em.eu
